Locally Involved

  • Brenda holds many positions of responsibility in her community of Bakersfield.

  • She is an elected Justice of the Peace and Selectboard member.

  • Brenda was recently appointed zoning administrator and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) fund manager for the town.

  • She is also involved in an effort to revive the Bakersfield General Store as a gathering place for residents and visitors.

Brenda worked in the telecommunications field for many years and is now using that experience to develop high-speed broadband in northwest Vermont.

She represents her town on the board of Northwest FiberworX, the communications union district building a fiber network in 21 communities, and is Vice Chair of the NWFX Governing Board.

She believes that fast Internet service will enrich the lives of all area residents and provide a necessary boost to economic development. She knows the needs of her district from first-hand experience.

She now seeks to apply her knowledge at the Statehouse and provide the representation that Franklin-6 deserves.
