Locally Involved
Brenda holds many positions of responsibility in her community of Bakersfield.
She is an elected Justice of the Peace and Selectboard member.
Brenda was recently appointed zoning administrator and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) fund manager for the town.
She is also involved in an effort to revive the Bakersfield General Store as a gathering place for residents and visitors.
Brenda worked in the telecommunications field for many years and is now using that experience to develop high-speed broadband in northwest Vermont.
She represents her town on the board of Northwest FiberworX, the communications union district building a fiber network in 21 communities, and is Vice Chair of the NWFX Governing Board.
She believes that fast Internet service will enrich the lives of all area residents and provide a necessary boost to economic development. She knows the needs of her district from first-hand experience.
She now seeks to apply her knowledge at the Statehouse and provide the representation that Franklin-6 deserves.
